Shoes Last

What is a shoes last?

It is the solid form around which a shoe is molded...

The fit of a shoe depends on the design, shape, and volume of the Shoe Last. The Shoe Last must represent the anatomical information of the foot, while at the same time giving the finished shoe a pleasing and fashionable appearance. Traditionally, Shoe Lasts are made of hardwoods such as Maple or Beech. However, modern day Shoe Lasts are made of high density plastics that are 100% recyclable.

Each Shoe Last is designed for a particular heel height, toe shape, and type of footwear. FOR EACH SHOE SIZE IT IS NECESSARY TO MAKE A PAIR OF LASTS, AND THE SAME APPLIES FOR THE WIDHT AND HEIGHT. So if, for instance, you want to have shoes with different toe shapes, then it is necessary to create more than one pair of Shoe Lasts.

A proper fitting pair of Shoe Lasts is a solid investment, and the first step towards creating proper fitting and fashionable footwear.

Shoes must be returned within 4 days after delivery and must be completely unspoiled. Please attach a copy of your receipt and a letter stating the reason for your return. We will make a new pair of shoes with the necessary corrections without any extra cost.

We have been in the dance-shoe business for over 20 years. We specialize in custom made dancing shoes, which means we make our dance shoes one by one, with the hands of expert dance artisans (shoemakers). Any order takes around 4 to 5 weeks to be fully manufactured. The delivery takes about 5 business days after the package is picked up by the courier at the factory. We offer a special rush delivery service (2 weeks) and it costs an extra USD $35.00 - since we would need to stop the production of other shoes to give priority to those which were ordered under special rush delivery. - The shoe size varies depending on the workmanship. For that reason, shoes are made based on the feet drawings with the measurements provided by the customer. However, not always the correct fit is gotten. Thus, we have some important recommendations for you:

• Ask for somebody's help to trace your feet. Please do not try to trace it by yourself.
• Trace your feet in the morning when they are relaxed.
• When you put your foot on the piece of paper for tracing it, please do not stand so that the foot being traced will not bear all the weight of your body. Otherwise, your foot will seem to be wider than it really is.
• Please make sure that the drawings and tracings are clear.
• When measuring the widest part, please check twice, or as many times as necessary, to make sure the measurements are correct.
• FOR LARGER SIZES: Women shoes will have an extra cost if the size is larger than 11. In the case of men shoes, the extra cost will apply for sizes larger than 12.
• We do not manufacture shoes with different sizes in the same pair, if this is your case, you must purchase a custom shoe last, which has a cost of $ 100.00 and will be stored by us for future opportunities in which you want to order new pairs of shoes. This also applies in special cases where for some reason one or both feet have large deformations or bunions that imply the need for special footwear that exceeds the limits of standard shoe molds, any other condition that may be considered as special, must also be processed under custom shoe last order first.
• No refunds for shoe-last orders!
• Our prices DO NOT include shipping costs, the customer is responsible for any customs fees and logistics/ handling of the package, also the customer has to pay the total value of the shipment to the destination country, we reserve the right to include shipping costs at will.

Products returned for exchange MUST NOT be worn. please try on your shoes on a clean and soft surface to avoid the soiling of suede soles. shoes with soiled soles, or shoes which have been used on a hard surface cannot be returned for exchange.

You will be responsible for the shipping costs on exchanged or returned products, except for exchanged items shipped from us to you.

If you are a new customer and decide that you don't want to send in your feet measurements, and order your shoes with a regular size, our return policy WILL NOT apply in case there is a misfit. On the other hand, older customers, or those who have successfully sent in the feet outlines, will be covered by our Return Policy.

Before you send the shoes back, email us at info@mrtangoshoes.com, stating the reasons for your return. You will receive further instructions for returning the shoes.

Shoes must be returned within 4 days after delivery and must be completely clean. Please attach a copy of your receipt and a letter stating the reason for your return.

If you receive the shoes you ordered and they don't have fit or size issues and you decide that you want to make changes this WILL NOT be covered by the exchange and return warranty, so you would need to send the shoes back to our main factory in Colombia for any modification and you may have to pay a modification fee, as a customer you will be responsible for shipping costs.

We will make a new pair of shoes with the necessary corrections without any extra cost. In order to do the latter, nonetheless, we will require you to take pictures of your feet with your shoes on and email them to us, so that we can precisely see the cause of the misfit. This step is crucial in order for us to amend the shoes!

REMEMBER to always make your feet measurements, as explained here, and email them to us at info@mrtangoshoes.com. This will undoubtedly reduce the chances of your shoes not having the right specifications

IN STOCK SHOES

This product has some special conditions different from the custom made products. Exchanges only apply for manufacturing defects, if the sizing is incorrect, please contact customer service to receive instructions for product exchange warranty and policies. For stock products It IS NOT POSSIBLE to select different materials, heels, colors, cushioning or any other service offered for other products of the company, if customer wants the same model with some customization immediately this order will be considered as custom made and will apply the costs and delivery times for the products made to measure. We will not process any custom order based on stock products until the customer contacts us. The number of products that a customer can order may vary depending on stock quantity availability. Please read the product description before ordering, the stock products have a specific range of sizes, so make sure your size is available.

Customers who own Custom Shoe Lasts can order stock designs, but as we mentioned before, you must contact us first to get all the necessary information regarding the adaptation of the product, delivery times and pricing.

We reserve the right to modify, change, remove or discard any stock product/collection published in our website at will.

All custom made products delivery time wich is 4 to 6 weeks in regular season but it will be increased to 8 to 9 weeks on every custom made order received within November 20th to November 26 of 2018, due to the higher orders volume, so please be patient with the extended processing time

IN STOCK SHOES

This products have some special conditions different to the custom made products conditions.

Exchanges and refunds only apply for manufacturing defects if the sizing is incorrect, please contact customer service to receive instructions for product exchange warranty and policies.

For stock products It IS NOT POSSIBLE to select different materials, heels, colors, cushioning or any other service offered for other products of the company, if customer wants the same model with some customization immediately this order will be considered as custom made and will apply the costs and delivery times for the products made to measure. We won't process any custom order based on stock products until customer contact us.

The quantity of products that customer can order may vary depending on stock quantity availableness.

Please read product description before ordering, the stock products have a specific range of sizes, so make shure your size is available.

Customers who own Custom Shoe Lasts can order stock designs, but as we mentioned before, you must contact us first to get all the necesary information regarding the adaptation of the product, delivery times and pricing.

We reserve the right to modify, change, remove or discard any stock product/collection published in our website at will.

Stock products ARE NOT COMPATIBLE with coupons, discounts, promo codes, instructor discounts, promotional campaigns, welcome discounts, birthday discounts or any other discount active now or in the future.

Products with free shipping are limited to the United States continental ground, if customer is located outside this specific region, the delivery costs must be assumed by the customer.

Typographical Errors

In the event that a $(Mr Tango Shoes) product is mistakenly listed at an incorrect price, $(Mr Tango Shoes) reserves the right to refuse or cancel any orders placed for product listed at the incorrect price. $(Mr Tango Shoes) reserves the right to refuse or cancel any such orders whether or not the order has been confirmed and your credit card charged. If your credit card has already been charged for the purchase and your order is cancelled, $(Mr Tango Shoes) shall issue a credit to your credit card account in the amount of the incorrect price.
